Midwest Construction Equipment provides the following services for most land and construction surveying instruments:

General Checkout services are often requested when an instrument has been in storage and not used for an extended period of time, and Routine Maintenance is appropriate when in service for some time.
Diagnosis & Repair: Our repair shop is equipped with the latest electronics and diagnostic equipment for the repair of surveying instruments. If you have a laser or optical surveying instrument that does not work and would like to have the problem diagnosed, please print and complete the MCE Service & Repair Request Form, properly package your instrument in accordance with MCE Packaging Requirements, and send it to the address on the form. We will perform a professional equipment assessment and contact you with the results, including repair costs. If you choose to utilize our repair service, the diagnosis charge of $50.00 will be waived.
Calibration of Laser & Optical Instruments: Midwest Construction Equipment has a VideoRange Alignment System for calibrating all types of laser instruments. The charge for laser calibration is $65-$90 depending on the type of laser. We also calibrate most optical instruments.
Software Installation & Upgrade: We can install or upgrade many types of operating system/platform and surveying application software.
Training: Those who purchase from Midwest Construction Equipment in person will, if requested, be provided hands on surveying instrument operations training for what they purchased, whether a new Spectra Precision or Nikon product or a quality used instrument.
